Located in Huron Main Clinic

Picture
Designed to provide athletic trainer's, coaches, and clinicians with all the necessary tools to provide outstanding aquatic therapy and exercise outcomes, the 7'6" wide by 14' long 500 Series fitness pool arrives in a budget-friendly package.

Ergonomic stairs and a handrail allow safe accessibility to this pool.  Ground-base gait training and sport-specific activities are easily duplicated on the variable speed underwater treadmill.  Strategically placed, high-powered water jets can be used for resistance training and deep-tissue massage.  Patients and athletes can utilize the pool's rear platform for exercises where additional bodyweight loading is desired.

Aquatic Therapy

Aquatic therapy is a therapeutic procedure, which attempts to improve function through the application of aquatic therapeutic exercises. By utilizing the unique physical properties of water, therapeutic exercises can be programmed to specifically suit various types of patients. Waters natural buoyancy allows freedom of movement without jarring or straining the body. Its natural resistance encourages strengthening of muscles.  Waters unique properties alleviate pain and facilitate early ambulation skills.
